Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends (Japanese: るろうに剣心 伝説の最期編, Hepburn: Rurouni Kenshin: Densetsu no Saigo-hen) is a 2014 Japanese jidaigeki (period drama) action film directed by Keishi Ōtomo, based on the popular Rurouni Kenshin manga. As the third entry in the film series, and the direct sequel to Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno (2014), the story picks up right where the previous film left off. It follows Himura Kenshin as he recovers and readies himself for a final showdown against the ruthless Shishio Makoto and his dangerous gang.
